We have been working on a new way to improve Haitian cook stoves. Instead of redesigning the whole cook itself, we are redesigning the pots for the cook stove. We have been inspired to redesign it due to our love for food. Haitians are currently using their old and rusty pots that take approximately 2 hours to cook in. Haitians usually have a large amount of people in their household. This means they have to cook for many. This takes a long time to cook and it is bad for their health because of the charcoal they use which they breath in makes their lungs; making it seem as if they smoked a whole pack of cigarettes. So because of this issue we have decided to simply redesign the pots they use to cook in so it takes much less time to cook their daily meals. We have tried a variety of different things, such as adding metal to the insides of the pots in order to increase the amount of heat the food receives. We comparing the amounts of time each different pot takes to get to 75 degrees Celsius.
