Partner Interview: Rachael Robinson from Zoo Atlanta
We interviewed the Director of Public Program and Exhibit Design, Rachael Robinson, who is from ZOO Atlanta. Rachael has worked with many different schools and STEM classes for years. Here is what she told us.
Q: What is your position at the zoo?
A: I am the Director of Public Program and Exhibit Design.
Q: How long have you been working at the zoo?
A: I have been working at the zoo for 8 years.
Q: How long did you have to go to college for this job?
A: I have a masters in environmental education. (4 years undergrad, 2 years bachelor)
Q: Did you always want to be a Director of Public Program or even work at the zoo?
A: When I was in the in the 7th grade, I learned about rain forests and exhibits and then I knew that I wanted to be a worker at the zoo so that I could help the animals.
Q: Do you know what STEM is?
A: Yes, I do. STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.
Q: How do you think your job relates to STEM?
A: I think my job relates to STEM because I am very involved with STEM education in my job. I hope to inspire the next generation to become the "future Rachaels".
